Like the roots of trees, all are connected. Learn from the tree. Learn from Mother Earth. Learn from those with wisdom.(Photo by KAL VISUALS on Unsplash)

Indigenous Peoples understand, in many ways, that all is connected. Of course, many others have, too. When we neglect this knowledge and fail to mold it into wisdom, we all suffer. Are you confused yet about what I’m writing? Good, you should be.

If you are confused, then, you would be wise to seek understanding and create something with it. Confusion should tell you to seek clarification.

What does the truth of Indigenous Peoples concerning connectivity and unity of everything mean to us? If we don’t get the most simple messages, then, we can count ourselves senseless, an inability to make sense of life which leads to hopelessness.

Simple messages. Mother Earth is not here for us to abuse for whatever we wish just because an egoic thought flashes through our mind. Mother Earth, Gaia, invites us to live in harmonious balance with her, respect her, and understand her. When humans do something stupid like invent plastics for every little convenience and toy with no thought for consequences, or even worse, having taken thought and ignored those consequences, we dishonor Mother Earth. We degrade and dishonor ourselves in the process.
