What Motivates Decisions in Elections and Life?

I wrote this poem last week after the election in the United States. The scope of the poem goes beyond the election, in my thinking, at least. Whether politics, economies, or cultures, when Heart energy isn’t the initial motive force, Ego wins, which means we lose.

We lose the experiences we came here to know — myriad experiences when Heart is the operating system that we choose to filter, process, and relate to all of life.

Awakening to Heart and Spirit ensures a fulfilling passage here.

Holding Hands

Happy Pines waved high above the forest floor

Swishing energies of peace, calm, and clarity for

Themselves and any others entering there and for

Oak, Walnut, Cypress, and more,

Who all waved back, spirit wind helping them

Express their Essence.

Of course, they all held rooty hands,
