Why wait? Here is the poem that prompted my story of only a few hours ago!
Chaos offers creators opportunities, joys, adventures, and…well, you determine anything else it offers. Ego wants to grab hold of what it perceives as an order that prevents change, which is a threat to Ego. Heart rejoices in such evidence of wise, magical chaos as our unity with, and being, the whole Universe.
Check with your own Heart, your Highest Self, about how this speaks to you, or not.
Let’s think about chaos. That’s almost an oxymoron, for thinking implies logical patterns of analysis that allow us, perhaps, to draw conclusions, make inferences, and a whole host of human brain activity.
Chaos, however, says nobody really knows what’s going to happen, and that implies confusion; however, that is not necessarily true. A whole branch of mathematics deals with chaos theory, and it has many applications in a variety of fields. I wish I could review some of it, but I am not educated enough in math to even pretend to do so. (I bet you thought I’d say I…
We come to this plane of existence to experience beauties, joys, wonders, magic, and a plethora of other amazing explorations and discoveries on Mother Earth.
We do so because we are Spirit incarnate, spirits with human bodies. As such, we intend to enjoy the physical part of our co-creation, which we could not do without physical bodies. This introduces a wonderful opportunity for whole new realms of experience, because by becoming human, we needed a unique operating system: Ego.
Ego lets us know many things about how we fit into the collective energy generated by history and the present population…
Someones somewheres decided that April would be National Poetry Month and the month for the celebration of Mother Earth. Great!
I believe and feel this is a fitting month for both. I have written posts on Medium in the past under the banner of both of those topics.
Now, though, I would like to add another element, another topic I feel strongly associates the two. Our attitude towards Mother Earth, the historical disrespect humans have shown — especially the conquering colonizers — and the imbalance we have created, is not limited to Mother Earth. Our relationship to Her reflects our…
Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) — amazing coding of life.
Before Watson and Crick discovered the double helix strands of
Life (1953), we existed. We required no
Knowledge of the specifics and complex chemistry of
Life in order to live, nor did we require it
To Know our common
Heritage, Unity, Destiny, and Source.
We did not require the facts of DNA and genetic sequencing
To teach us of our connections to one another —
Civilized minds in a
Civilized world would prove — if
Traced as accurately and mapped as assiduously as Watson, Crick, et al

Many forms of peace exist. Martin Luther King, Jr., wrote that White moderates, who should have been pro-civil rights, seemed to favor “a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice” (King 9–10).
Peace may be either active or inactive. Active peace involves addressing root causes that create turmoil, disturbance, upset, or any other quality that distresses us. This is positive and requires continuous maintenance, exploration, and action.
Negative peace addresses only the symptoms, and in so doing, in not being proactive in dealing with injustice or any myriad of…
From my childhood through my teen years, my wise and sometimes philosophical mother told me a number of times to follow the dictates of my heart. I suppose I should value that above all else; however, this society forces values that are the egoic status quo, the norm. The norm does not usually include living one’s true self, one’s inner child with all those dreams; the norm involves money, money produced by doing work that we neither wish to do nor value. In the collective, production resulting in income trumps all else.
That is not the dictate of my Heart…
Screams. Primal responses expressing deep feelings. They should be heard. They should be tended.
I think of a carful of friends, laughing, yelling over each other, as they head towards a sharp curve, beyond which a bridge has been washed out. A couple who just escaped the deadly plunge stands on the side of the road, screaming for the car to stop. No one hears. Someone in the car even sees them and makes light of them as some sort of escapees from a mental prison. Their screams go unheeded and the consequence is sealed.
What screams have been heard…
Mother Earth is a planet that seems unique, yet speculation abounds concerning the infinite possibilities that other planets similar to Earth exist in other solar systems composed of billions of stars in unknown galaxies.
We do not need to go that far to know these speculations hold true. Well, in a metaphorical way, at least, which means the concept won’t be perfect, but similar enough to help us think about our species, humanity, homo sapiens, and our existence as individuals upon this planet, Earth. The metaphor? …
The winter solstice holds the longest night of the year. From here on out, the daylight time increases. Leading up to this, the darkness has increased. This is simple astronomical fact.
As the Romantic writers and others have shown our species throughout history, we may consider the order of nature and the universe in order to look within ourselves individually and collectively. We don’t like to do that in this advanced day and age.
How advanced are we? We are steeped in darkness. Many choose willing ignorance because they could not bear to see true light or love. Dictatorial rulers…
